Terms
What you are buying, what we will and will not run, and how either side ends it. These are the whole terms — there is no second document.
Who you are dealing with
Hyperspace Media Group LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We build and operate the software the slots appear on, so the people selling you the space and the people running the site are the same people.
What you are buying
One banner slot, on one named site, for a fixed number of days, starting when your payment clears. You are buying placement: the slot renders your artwork to visitors who are shown ads.
You are not buying impressions, clicks or outcomes, and we do not sell against a guaranteed number of any of them. If we ever publish traffic figures they are our own measurements offered in good faith, and they are not a promise.
Ads are shown to visitors who do not hold a paid, ad-free subscription to the site in question. That is the deal those subscribers were sold and we are not going to break it, so the audience for your ad is the free one.
Where a site has more than one slot, slots rotate. Buying one slot does not reserve the page.
Your artwork is reviewed before it runs
Paying does not put your ad on the site. A person looks at every piece of creative first. Until that happens the slot stays as it was.
We aim to review the same day and we will always do it within two working days. You get a message either way.
If we turn it down, the whole charge comes back to you automatically — see Refunds. We will tell you why in plain words. You are welcome to send different artwork.
Replacing artwork on a booking that is already running sends it back for review, and the slot reverts until it is approved again. The booking's end date does not move.
What we will not run
This is a short list and we apply it as written rather than as a starting point for discussion.
- Anything unlawful where the site's visitors are.
- Adult material, gambling, weapons, tobacco, vaping, or drugs.
- Loans, debt relief, crypto tokens, trading schemes, or anything else that promises a financial return.
- Health and medical claims, supplements, and treatments.
- Artwork that impersonates another company, or that imitates the interface of the site it sits on — fake buttons, fake alerts, fake close boxes.
- Political advertising and issue campaigning.
- Anything aimed at children.
- Artwork that animates, flashes, plays sound, or tries to move the page.
We may also decline something that breaks none of these and that we simply do not want on our sites. It is our site. When that happens you get the whole charge back and we will say so plainly rather than inventing a rule.
What you are promising us
- The artwork is yours to use, including any photography, fonts and trademarks in it.
- What it says is true, and anything it offers is something you can actually supply.
- The click-through goes where the ad says it goes, and that page is not malware, a phishing page, or a redirect chain into one.
- You will not change what is at the click-through address into something that would not have been approved. If you do, we take the ad down, and that is a withdrawal you are not refunded for.
If a claim is brought against us because one of these was not true, you cover it.
Technical specification
- 160×600 pixels, exactly. We do not rescale artwork, because a rescaled banner is not the one you approved.
- PNG or JPEG. Not SVG — an SVG can carry scripts and we will not serve one from our own domain for somebody else.
- Under 2MB. Well under, for a file this size.
- One still image. No animation, no video, no third-party tag, no tracking pixel, no script of any kind.
- A sentence of alt text, which is required. It is what a blind visitor gets instead of the picture.
- An https click-through address.
There is no third-party ad tag in this product and there is not going to be one. We serve the image file ourselves from our own servers, which is also why your ad cannot track anyone — see Privacy.
Availability
We run these sites ourselves and we keep them up, but nobody can promise a site never goes down. If a site is down for a meaningful part of your booking we refund you for it. Short interruptions, deploys and maintenance are part of running software and are not refundable on their own.
We do not promise a specific number of people will see your ad on any particular day.
Ending it
You can ask for a refund within thirty days of paying, for any reason or none, and that ends the booking. After that the booking runs to its end date.
We can end a booking at any time. If we do it because of something in "What you are promising us" above, you are not refunded. If we do it for a reason of our own, you are refunded for the days not served, pro rata.
Liability
If something goes wrong at our end, what you get back is what you paid for the booking it went wrong on. We are not liable beyond that — not for lost sales, not for lost profits, not for what the campaign was supposed to achieve. We are a small company selling a banner slot and the price reflects that.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Where this is settled
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida, which is where Hyperspace Media Group LLC is formed, and the courts there are where a dispute would be heard.
Before it gets that far: write to support@hyperspacemediagroup.com and say what happened. We would rather refund somebody than argue with them.
Changes
If we change these terms, the booking you already paid for keeps the terms it was bought under. Changes apply to what is bought after them.
